Yesterday I was inspired by the artic landscape as I drove my daughter to school. The wind was howling, as you can tell by the 'soft' look of the snow.
The wind here in Montana is one of the things that make the long winters nearly unbearable. I find when I suck it up, bundle up and find a way to look for the beauty that is always there (sometimes well hidden :) ) it really helps me to make it through another windy winter day.
Here's what I found yesterday...

Today
I have had this quote on my computer forever. I can't even remember where I first read it, but I love it. I always seem to come across it at just the right time. I hope it speaks to you as well...
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are.
Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart.
Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow.
Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so.
One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return.
- Mary Jean Iron
By the way... this picture was not taken today (I took it at the end of our driveway) but I think it's beautiful... I'm missing the green grass and warm days!
