Spring

So... here's a bit of real life for you...

We are into calving season on the ranch which means that these wonderful, new black velvety calves are coming into the world on a very regular basis. It's a very busy time of year for us but also one of my favorite seasons. I brought my camera along yesterday afternoon and took a few shots to share. Sometimes the cows need a little extra help during the birth. That's what is happing in a few of the pictures. The last few images are of a special little calf that the girls have befriended and named "coffee" (Otherwise known as 6403). He likes them as much as they like him!

We are so blessed to be able to share this way of life with our children.

The images can be viewed here

Viva Mexico

After a day and a half of travel... boats, taxis and planes, including a missed connection which resulted in an extra overnight, we're back! After a moments reflection, YES it was worth it!

There were moments when we weren't sure... picture an exhausted 3 year-old running under the barrier into a "restricted area" and throwing herself down on the floor for a full volume melt down.

Anyway, we are past that now and when I think back to the gorgeous beaches, warm sun, colorful villages and amazing people I would do it a million times over again.

I'm just starting to download pictures so check back for more of Mexico soon!

BRRRRRRR!

I finally rolled in from Santa Barbara this morning at 1am. It was 22 below zero! Wow, that is cold, especially when you forgot your gloves!

Real Beauty

Last spring I photographed the wedding of Amelia and Thad Luckinbill (better known to The Young and the Restless Fans as Victoria and JT). They were married in Greenough, Montana at The Resort at Paws Up. They had a beautiful private ceremony with friends and family. Their guests enjoyed horse-drawn wagon rides through the snow and all the activiites the resort has to offer.

One of my images of Amelia is featured in the current issue of Modern Bride (Feb issue) in the Real Bride, Real Beauty section.

Thanks to Amelia and Thad for including me in their beautiful wedding day!

Modern Bride!

Last summer I photographed Zack and Shawna's wedding in Nye, Montana. It was gorgeous and one of my all-time favorite weddings! They worked for over a year, planning and putting their hearts and muscle into making their vision a reality. The photographs from the wedding are featured in the newest issue of Modern Bride Magazine.
I had a great time getting to know Shawna and Zack during the planning of the wedding and I am now proud to call them friends!
Here are the tearsheets from Modern Bride...

Thanks Shawna and Zack!

Cortney and Dan

Last weekend I photographed Cortney and Dan's wedding at The Gallatin Gateway Inn in Montana. They had a beautiful fall ceremony with gorgeous fall colors and sprinklings of gold and copper. What a great couple! Their love and devotion to each other was clear.

Congratulations Cortney and Dan!
